My First Wedding Jewelry

This is my very first bridal jewelry. Yikes! I was pretty nervous about it. I know, from being a bride myself, that only perfection is expected for one of the most important days of your life. I brought it to the customer on Friday and she loved it. Yay! I have to say, it turned out beautiful and looks even more stunning in person.

Here is my newest creation. I found this butterfly charm at a yard sale! I was so excited when I found it. I love the vintage look of the necklace with the brass and the antique colors.

It's officially Memorial Day Weekend! Yay! I hope everybody has a very safe and fun-filled weekend. Don't forget the meaning behind this Holiday and say a prayer for our troops and what they're doing for our country.

I'll be working on more goodies for my blog this weekend and next week.

TGIF!

Hot Color Combinations - Right out of Lucky Magazine

Check out my beautiful Ella Necklace and Earrings. After seeing this Editor's Pick in the April 2009 issue of Lucky Magazine, I was inspired to make a set with this color combination.

Day 2 of My Blog

So today is Day 2 of my blog. Hmmmmm. What do I write? Well, I've been brainstorming and thought that since I'm a stay-at-home mom, as well as a jewelry designer, I'll have to post some useful tips for my fellow stay-at-home moms and some handy tutorials for my fellow jewelry designers.

Speaking of jewelry, I am always on the search for unique ideas to display my handmade jewelry in shops and also for shows. Today I went to the ReStore Home Improvement Center in Frederick, MD, which is "a place where you can buy new and used building materials, home improvement items, and furnishings at a fraction of retail costs. Run by Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County, Maryland, the ReStore is a bargain hunter's dream store." And it really is. They have so much cool stuff there for great prices. A couple of weeks ago I found an old bi-fold shutter closet door for $7. I brought it home, had my husband cut it, and I painted it. It's PERFECT to hang my earrings in Le Savon. See the picture to the right.

So, going forward, anything I find that is clever and unique to use as jewelry displays, I will share on my blog.

Stay tuned for my cute linen covered bracelet displays!!

Happy Blogging!!

My Ella Necklace in an Etsy Treasury

How did I get here?

Well, I never thought I'd end up starting my own blog and here I am. My brother, who is a real estate agent in Hilton Head, SC has been prompting me to do this for months. I've often wondered, what is the big deal about blogging? I'm still not sure yet, but now that I'm here, I figure that I'll eventually find out.

Here's to my new blog and hoping I can make a go of it!
